This stylish semi-detached property in a quiet residential area in the heart of Devon in Bampton, a small yet thriving historic town with independent shops, pubs and bistros. Exmoor National Park is a couple of miles away offering a mixture of wild moorland with lush, deep, wooded valleys and pretty villages to enjoy on foot, car, bike, or horse – riding stables that can be found locally. Wimbleball Lake offers water sports, fishing, bird watching and nature trails and is also just a few miles away. The towns of Dulverton and Tiverton are close by and offer a range of amenities. If you fancy a day on the beach, explore the North Devon coastline with its small coves and sandy beaches, or Minehead on the Somerset coast.
Step inside and you’ll be immediately welcomed into a hall, the perfect place to hang coats and store shoes after a walk into town. From here, head into the open-plan lounge/diner which boasts comfy seating and a TV – it is a lovely room to relax in after a busy day out exploring. You can also enjoy mealtimes together at the dining table or, in the warmer months, open the French doors to let the sunshine in. With woodland and stream behind, watch and listen to the chattering of birds. Bampton is one of the gateways to Exmoor National Park and is great for exploring both Devon and Somerset. Although this pretty, peaceful village is small, there are two small supermarkets, a post office and a choice of 3 pubs. The village was more recently used for the village scenes in "Downton Abbey". The larger towns of Tiverton, Taunton, and Exeter are nearby as well as a selection of National Trust properties. There are a choice of footpaths to suit all abilities, incorporating the Two Moors Way and The South West Coast Path which passes through National Nature Reserves and Heritage sites. For a fun day out, visit Wimbleball Lake Country Park in Dulverton or Wiveliscombe Open Air Pool in Taunton or enjoy everything Exmoor offers.
