There are some gorgeous countryside walks around the tiny village of Sutcombe, following the river and weaving between woodland and fields. The local village of Bradworthy has plenty of interesting small grocery shops and pubs set around the traditional village square. The dramatic North Cornwall coastline is only 10 minutes in the car, where there are stunning cliff-top walks along the South West Coast Path. There are some pretty fishing villages to explore such as Clovelly and Appledore and long, sandy beaches in the Bude area, with Bude itself offering great beaches, superb surfing and a variety of amenities. You will be sure of a peaceful holiday at this luxurious barn conversion.

Dating back to 700AD, the village of Bradworthy has a rich history with a large village square surrounded by cottages. The village has a number of stores, post office, garage and the ill important pub, The Bradworthy Inn, dating to the 16th century with a beer garden and a coffee shop as well as a restaurant serving local produce and real ales. Perfectly located to explore North Devon, the Tamar Lakes are just 3 miles away where you can try out some water sports or a spot of relaxing fishing. The coast is a short drive away with Bude being a popular choice with a large expanse of sand, the famous Bude sea pool, rockpooling and renowned for the surf. Close by you can visit the Gnome Reserve and Wildflower Garden, try archery at the Dragon Archery Centre or visit Lizzy's Larder for a bite to eat, a farm shop and some friendly animals.
