Totherside is perched high above the rooftops of the charming village of Kingswear overlooking the River Dart within walking distance of the village store, restaurants and the ferry to Dartmouth. A large, luxurious property designed with a reverse interior to maximize the incredible views of the river. The property has three ground floor bedrooms one, with en-suite shower room and a family bathroom. On the first floor the master bedroom has a private balcony and en-suite shower room. In total the property can sleep up to 7 adults and 1 child. A superb open plan living space boasts a large glazed window, comfortable leather settees and recliners. A quality kitchen/diner leads to a rear patio and sun terraces with barbecue areas an unbeatable position for breakfasts, alfresco suppers and sunsets with the most wonderful river setting as the backdrop. There is a further sun terrace below with sun loungers for relaxing in the sunshine. Parking for two cars is on the driveway however access is via a steep and narrow road unsuitable for wide vehicles. Further parking can be found in the Marina car park. Access to Totherside is via 40 steps up and therefore not suitable for those with mobility difficulties. A striking and beautiful property, designed to maximize the views from almost every room, it is accessed via a narrow, steep road. Perfect for groups, a special celebration or simply sharing with friends and family, (unsuitable for the infirm). A number of stairs lead up through a planted tiered garden to the entrance of this modern reverse style residence. Three bedrooms lead off the hallway, one with en-suite shower room, and a single that doubles as a study or twin with child's pull out bed. A further first-floor master bedrooms boast a private seaward facing balcony, a walk-in dressing room and en-suite shower room. Designed to take full advantage of the unique position, an impressive open plan living space featuring a fully glazed gable window that frame the views of the river below. Unwind on comfortable leather recliners and settees and immerse yourself in the ever-changing river scene. To one side a smart modern kitchen/diner is equipped with all mod-cons, with patio doors leading onto a sunny terrace perfect for breakfasts, lazy lunches or alfresco suppers. A rear, enclosed patio allows is useful space to enjoy a glass of wine, or choose your spot and a grab a book and relax in the sunshine on one of the sun terraces on the level below. A table tennis table is available (stored in the shed) to keep the kids entertained. Wander down to the village for a newspaper or a drink in one of the pubs beside the ferry. Or jump on the ferry across to Dartmouth and enjoy the café culture of this bustling town, its narrow cobbled streets lined with galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Explore the coastline, on foot, by water or by train, the Dartmouth Steam Railway at Kingswear taking visitors along the beautiful coastline to Torbay. For day trips to the beach, the soft sands and safe bathing of Blackpool Sands are just 3 miles and for family days out, Woodlands theme park will keep little ones entertained all day. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Dartmouth provides stunning countryside surroundings with the coast within very close proximity making this area one of the most popular for visitors to Devon. The beautiful estuary and the coast are home to many watersports such as sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding or why not try surfing at one of the nearby surf schools.
