Set over the second and third floor and sleeping up to six guests, The Penthouse is a contemporary hideaway for a getaway to Devon, benefitting from a secure parking permit and close proximity to Dartmouth Castle and the vibrant harbour and only 100 yards from the nearest pub and restaurant.
A first floor landing entrance will greet you, before climbing to the second floor to reach the property; step into the open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting area, where you can look forward to treating your guests to a home-cooked meal prepared in the kitchen before settling down at the dining table to indulge and toast to a long-awaited break. After a satisfying feast, retire to the plush sofas where you can put your feet up and tune into the Smart TV, browsing Netflix for a favourite film. As you begin to yawn, retire to one of the bedrooms; on the second floor lies a double with en-suite shower and a bunk room which is perfect for the little ones, served by a gleaming shower room. Climb upstairs to access the third bedroom, hosting a king-size bed and glimpses of the river, while across the landing lies a delightful bathroom where you can while away the hours with a long soak. All the bedrooms feature a Smart TV and you can enjoy the spectacular views over Kingswear from the master bedroom.
Meander into Dartmouth town centre, where you can pick from a range of well-established restaurants and excellent pubs to dine and drink in, as well as local and independent shops to browse for the perfect souvenir. Take a walk around town stopping at all of Dartmouth’s local landmarks, including Dartmouth Harbour, Dartmouth Museum, Bayard’s Cove Fort and the iconic Dartmouth Castle, resting at the mouth of the River Dart standing over the town. Hop onboard the passenger ferry over to Kingswear Castle, or join the scenic South West Coastal Path to take in the gorgeous views of Dartmouth and then further east past Brownstone Battery. For a day at the beach, Sugar Cove sits at the mouth of the River Dart, just one mile away.

Relax on the sandy Blue Flag awarded Blackpool Sands Beach, one of the most popular family beaches in the area or if feeling more energetic use the beach as a base for a walk as the beach is directly on the South West Coast Path.
Visit Dartmouth Castle, superbly located in the mouth of the estuary with wonderful views from the top tower and has been guarding the area since 1388. Explore Greenway, the holiday home of Agatha Christie now run by the National Trust. Nearby Woodlands theme park boasts the largest watercoasters in Devon, a farm with all the family favourites including meerkats, all set within beautiful grounds of 100 acres. Take a trip on one of the many ferries and head out for a day to explore nearby Salcombe, Torquay or Totnes or stay on land and explore the English Riviera on the Dartmouth Steam Railway.
