On a peaceful road of imposing Victorian villas, high above the sunny seaside resort of Torquay is this well-presented property, The Link. Superbly positioned, The Link is a wonderful base for a refreshing getaway, surrounded by sub-tropical gardens filled with iconic Torbay palms.

This striking property has a contemporary kitchen with all the essentials to prepare home-cooked meals throughout your stay and in the dining room, the original sash window floods the room with natural light, offering a tranquil space to plan the fun-filled days ahead. Wind down in the sitting room where you can curl up on the plush sofa and tune into the TV. As the evening draws to a close, three elegant bedrooms, comprising of a king bedroom with an en-suite, a twin bedroom with an en-suite and a single (with optional truckle bed for a child) will ensure a good night's rest. An additional shower room with WC on the ground floor is a useful addition.

To the outside of the property, your own private courtyard complete with Wisteria and Avocado trees make an idyllic spot to enjoy a summer BBQ and enjoy a glass of something chilled. Alternatively, take a refreshing dip in the shared outdoor heated swimming pool or sit on the Victorian verandah and take in the view of the gardens.

If you can tear yourself away from this delightful property, a short stroll will take you to one of Devon's finest sandy beaches adjoining the smart marina with a selection of shops and restaurants, as well as attractions including the Living Coasts zoo and the Princess Theatre. Part of the English Riviera, Torquay is famed for its sandy beaches and palm trees and has been attracting visitors with its charms for hundreds of years. So much to see and do in the area including the underground caves at Kents Caverns, the 800-year-old Torre Abbey, the Living Coasts Marine Zoo and Aquarium, Babbacombe Model Village as well as the Torquay Museum. Agatha Christie was born here the Inernational Agatha Christie Festival is held annually and you can walk the Agatha Christie mile to discover some of the murder scenes from her books. Take the steam train to Kingswear and enjoy a trip along the River Dart.

Plenty of activities available on the calm waters of Tor Bay including sailing dinghies, yachts and motorboats with sea schools available for those looking to take a structured course. There are plenty of beaches nearby, you will be spoilt for choice. The choice of cuisine is huge, including Michelin starred restaurants and tastes from around the world to tea rooms and cafes and pubs. A vibrant evening scene gives you choices of theatre, concerts, plays, musicals, comedy and ballet. In summer open-air theatres play at Cockington Country Park and various National Trust properties nearby.
