Alternatively walk for just a few minutes in the opposite direction and relax in the peaceful Warfleek Creek area which offers its visitors access to a quiet and secluded part of the river, benches on the water’s edge and a short footpath on to the historic Dartmouth castle and its well-run café. The little-known Gallant’s Bower and Sugary Cove’s delightful beach are also within easy walking distance, perfect for a picnic and some stone skimming.
