The Coach House is a detached bungalow near the Devonshire town of Modbury. The traditional stone building has an open plan living area which is bright and contemporary and three comfortable bedrooms, a double, a twin and a children’s bunk room. From the living area, French doors open on to the patio and front lawn, where you can enjoy the late summer evenings – and glimpses of the pool are visible through the archway of the gatehouse.

The Colmer Estate is an exclusive collection of 20 holiday cottages set in 28 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. A range of year-round indoor and outdoor facilities will keep the whole family entertained whatever the weather and include both an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness room, games room, children’s play area and a hard tennis court (bring your own racquets and balls). Nearby, are many sandy beaches, including Bigbury on Sea where you can cross the water by sea tractor to explore Burgh Island and its elegant art deco hotel. The popular towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are both just a short drive away. The original Coach House is now a detached, single-storey cottage. Modbury

Modbury is a large village in the popular South Hams area of Devon and located within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the south is a choice of sandy beaches while to the north lies Dartmoor National Park. The village itself has several cafés, three pubs all of which serve food, a wine bar, an Indian and a Chinese as well as a good range of shops. There are so many interesting villages to explore including Kingston, Ringmore, Bigbury, Aveton Gifford, Holbeton and Mothecombe. Visit the Brownston Art Gallery that holds regular exhibitions including some very well known artists as well as local talent. Calancombe Estate is a vineyard that offers tours and tastings by appointment with a visitor centre opening in late 2019 for tours with an appointment. Modbury is a great location for those looking to explore both the countryside and the coast.
