Head down the steps to your front door into the hall and then step down again to the spacious kitchen, a lovely room in which to cook and eat with its fascinating glass-topped well and big wood table to gather around. Double doors open to a dear little snug with TV and then head through a massive door into the spacious, comfy sitting room with wood burning stove. For quiet time with a good book, armchairs have been thoughtfully provided on the landing, beside the beautiful lofty en suite bedrooms which look over the surrounding fields with grazing cows. On a sunny day, sit out in the pretty enclosed garden behind the cottage where you can eat alfresco around the table. You are only five miles from Plymouth city centre here, with its wide choice of restaurants and shops to browse. There is plenty going on, with a big theatre, cinemas, the historic Hoe to explore and the National Marine Aquarium. For outdoor activities, you are spoiled for choice. Bovisand Bay has a sandy beach, as does Wembury with its rock pools to explore, bathing waters and marine conservation centre. There is golf nearby, or head to Mount Batten for all sorts of water sports at the activity centre beside the marina. And at the end of the day, you have a bar and restaurant at the country house hotel just a 350 yard stroll from the cottage. Down Thomas is a small pretty village 6 miles from Plymouth. The village has a shop, a post office and a pub and is just half a mile away from Bovisand Beach. Wembury Beach and Mewstone Beach are both a mile away, both being popular for rock pools and Mewstone Beach has a café on the sand.
