The property can accommodate up to six people in one double bedroom on the first floor, plus a twin room and a room with 3ft children’s bunk beds, both with TVs, on the ground floor. There is a bathroom upstairs and a shower room on the ground floor, along with an open plan living space with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room. From the living space, patio doors open onto an enclosed patio with furniture and there is also off-road parking for two cars outside. Hal a mile from the coast, with lots of wonderful things to see, do and explore nearby, The Buttery is a lovely holiday home for families and small groups of friends.

This fabulous, semi-detached barn conversion is part of a group of cottages in a rural location, two miles from Hartland, a picturesque coastal village in North Devon. Once a dairy, now a cheerful, well-lit contemporary holiday home with oak floors and doors, bright furnishings and a welcoming feel, this wonderful property is situated in an idyllic, peaceful location, just two fields from the South West Coast Path and the dramatic Bideford Bay area. The front door leads into an open plan living space, with a tall vaulted ceiling, oak beams and patio doors opening out into the rear courtyard, which is enclosed and a real sun trap, ideal for breakfasts and barbecues. The living space is ideal for four, having a two-seater sofa and two armchairs, plus a dining table for four. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor; a twin and a very small room for children with bunk beds, along with a shower room. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower. There are plenty of quiet, leafy lanes, typical of Devon, to stroll along from the cottage with the dog, and the Hartland coastline, much of it owned by The National Trust, is a beautiful stretch of rugged unspoilt cliffs, sheltered valleys and ancient woodlands. Visit the charming fishing village of Clovelly overlooking the harbour, and try and spot the donkeys trundling up the hill with their packages. Popular resorts to visit also include Saunton Sands, Instow, Westward Ho! and Woolacombe. This stunning cottage provides the family with a huge variety of activities nearby, all year round.

Dating back over 1000 years, the area is timeless and unspoilt with wild and beautiful countryside and some of the most stunning coastal views found anywhere in Britain. Places to visit in the area include Hartland Abbey dating back to 1157, Hartland Point for spectacular views, Welcombe Mouth Beach and Docton Mill Gardens and Tea Room.
