Westward Ho!, which takes its name from the novel by Charles Kingsley has a wide stretch of beach separating the Northam Burrows with a pebble ridge, where golf lovers can try their hand at the Royal North Devon Golf Club, reputedly the oldest links course in the UK or maybe a horse-ride along the beach.
