Set in the middle of Bigbury on Sea, 200 metres up from the glorious sandy beach, Tamarisk is a superb detached bungalow with magnificent panoramic views of the sea and Burgh Island. Set in its own landscaped gardens with terraces on different levels and easily accessible, it’s a perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet while sitting out on the patio or relaxing in the sunroom. Inside it is bright, comfortable and roomy with a fresh seaside theme throughout. Just minutes from beautiful Burgh Island, reached on foot at low tide along a stretch of golden sands, and the gorgeous beaches of Bigbury on Sea, all the way to the Avon estuary. This part of the coast has been a long standing favourite for surfers, watersports enthusiasts and families who want to enjoy their holiday having fun on the beach.

Outside: Large terrace facing the sea, furnished with garden furniture and barbecue, as well as lawns below, shed for surfboards and beach gear. Gated driveway with ample parking, and stepped paths leading to the front entrance. To the rear of the property is a sloping entrance levelling out to a path, which can give alternative access leading to the front door, for those with walking difficulties.

The small hamlet of Bigbury-on-Sea is another perfect location for seaside holidays located in the South Hams area in South Devon. The beach offers everything you could ever desire for the perfect day by the sea including safe swimming with seasonal lifeguards (May to September) and shallow waters. The beach is very spacious and has disabled access. At low tide, you can take a walk over to Burgh Island or if you can't wait take a trip over on the famous sea tractor and discover the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, the links with Agatha Christie and its history of pirates and smugglers. A great area for rockpooling this area is a big hit for kids of all ages.
The facilities are equally good with two car parks, clean toilets and even showers for the surfers and bathers. The Discover Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediates and they also offer windsurfing and kitesurfing. The Venus Café has a variety of food and drinks options including the all-important ice cream and there is even a beach barista. A pub is also available on Burgh Island. Dogs are allowed on one side of the beach and there are dog bowls and water available for them as well.
