The property can sleep four guests in two bedrooms, including a king-size with en-suite shower room on the ground floor, and a king-size zip/link double in the loft (third floor). The first floor is comprised of a kitchen/diner, sitting room and a shower room with walk-in shower. To the outside is a lawned garden with seating, whilst off-road parking for 2 cars is available at the front. Swallows Loft is an idyllic getaway to South Devon.

Nestled in the village of Bigbury, within close reach of the sandy beaches at Bigbury-on-Sea, is this delightful detached cottage. Boasting three floors with a light and airy decor, Swallows Loft is a welcoming base for families wanting to explore the delights of South Devon. As you enter the property, to your immediate right is the first of the bedrooms, featuring a king-size bed and a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over, so you can best decide how to prepare for the day. Head upstairs to discover the first floor, providing a snug sitting area with a wood burner and corner sofa, allowing you to fully relax of an evening, indulging in some television or simply reflecting upon the day’s events. Just off the sitting room is the kitchen/diner, well-appointed with integrated appliances and plenty of workspace to prepare your meals, along with a dining table and breakfast bar to enjoy these meals at. Accessed by a set of steps in the living room, the second bedroom can be found in the loft, hosting a zip/link king-size double which can be made into twins upon request. To the outside is a lawned garden and sun trap terrace where you can enjoy a refreshing drink whilst soaking up the sunshine. Bigbury-on-Sea is just a few miles away and has a sandy beach with safe swimming conditions and an abundance of water sporting activities to try. Walkers can enjoy rambling the famous South West Coast Path, which runs along some of the county’s most beautiful areas, while the popular resorts of Salcombe, Dartmouth and Plymouth boast an array of things to see and do – perfect for a lovely day out. Swallows Loft is a charming retreat, ideal for those wanting to capture the beauty of South Devon, first-hand.

The small hamlet of Bigbury-on-Sea is another perfect location for seaside holidays located in the South Hams area in South Devon. The beach offers everything you could ever desire for the perfect day by the sea including safe swimming with seasonal lifeguards (May to September) and shallow waters. The beach is very spacious and has disabled access. At low tide, you can take a walk over to Burgh Island or if you can't wait take a trip over on the famous sea tractor and discover the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, the links with Agatha Christie and its history of pirates and smugglers. A great area for rockpooling this area is a big hit for kids of all ages.

The facilities are equally good with two car parks, clean toilets and even showers for the surfers and bathers. The Discover Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediates and they also offer windsurfing and kitesurfing. The Venus Café has a variety of food and drinks options including the all-important ice cream and there is even a beach barista. A pub is also available on Burgh Island. Dogs are allowed on one side of the beach and there are dog bowls and water available for them as well.

Plenty of holiday accommodation directly at Bigbury-on-Sea, many with sea views and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach with further great options in the surrounding villages.
