Description

St John’s Lodge is a stylish four bedroom house with sea views located just a short walk from the beach and coast path in Hope Cove. The pet friendly detached property is all on one level and ideally suited for a family holiday. The property is situated in a quiet area off the main lane that runs into Hope Cove and is just a short walk from the popular ‘Hope & Anchor’ pub and ‘The Cove’ restaurant. The poplar seaside destinations of Salcombe and Thurlestone are also just a short drive from the property.

Accommodation:

Entrance to kitchen/diner. Kitchen area with electric double oven, electric hob, large fridge freezer with ice machine, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and Nespresso machine (first couple capsules included). Dining area with dining table to seat 10, TV and access to rear patio. A hallway off the kitchen accesses all other rooms. Lounge with large corner sofa, large sofa, log burner (first basket of logs provided at seasonal times), TV and DVD player. Master bedroom with 5ft king size bed, access to rear patio and en suite shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 with 5ft king-size bed. Bedroom 3 with 3ft twin beds. Bedroom 4 with 3ft bunk beds. Family bathroom with roll top bath with hand-held shower, separate large walk-in shower cubicle, basin and WC.

Outside:

Fully enclosed small patio area (on step up) at the rear of the property with picnic bench. Outside shower at front of the property.

Parking:

For 2 cars on a private drive. It is possible to fit up to 4 cars on drive depending on size but generally better suited for 2 cars.

Hope Cove

Lying on the coast of the popular South Hams area of Devon, Hope Cove consists of two sandy bays called Inner and Outer Hope. The perfect destination for families looking for a traditional beach holiday with paddling, swimming, sand castles and rock pooling. The beaches have red sandstone cliffs to the rear which provide not only a beautiful backdrop but a shady area if needed. Both beaches back onto the charming village where there are plenty of places to eat out as well as shops for those last-minute beach needs. The more popular Mouthwell Sands beach also benefits from a seasonal lifeguard service and dogs are allowed between October and April. The village beach is pet-friendly all year round but must be kept on a lead.

Hugely popular, especially with families, we have a great selection of Hope Cove cottages but we would advise booking early as this area fills up fast.
