The lovely Grunta beach is only half a mile walk from Seal Cottage, which is accessed via steps. Just a mile away is the laid-back village of Woolacombe, offering a bustling atmosphere, a Blue flag rated beach as well as a number of shops and eateries. Seal Cottage is an elegant base in a fantastic location, perfect for those looking for beautiful beaches, pretty villages and plenty of walking opportunities.

Listed in the Doomsday Book, the Museum gives you an insight into Old Morte and tales of smugglers and stranded ships. Fabulous walks along Morte Point, part of the South West Coastal Path, with breathtaking scenery will bring you to hidden sands and into the neighbouring village, Lee. A village store provides all your needs and there is a selection of pub/restaurants offering local produce. Walk down the winding road and stop off at one of the beaches on your way to Woolacombe with its 3-mile stretch of golden sands. Serene in summer and wild and rugged in winter, once you have sampled this beautiful area you will want to return time and time again.
