Torcross is a popular village in the South Hams in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located on the southern edge of Slapton Sands, the beach extends for 3 miles all the way to Strete on the northern end, is dog-friendly and has lifeguards during the summer. A bar divides the sea from Slapton Ley, the largest natural lake in south-west England and a National Nature Reserve that you must visit when staying in the area. Plenty of places to eat out with many enjoying the sea views. Directly on the South West Coast Path, it is excellent for walking with wonderful coastal views.
