Walk 15 minutes to Yeoford and hop on the Tarka line Real Ale Trail or venture just 20 minutes from Colebrooke to be within Dartmoor National Park. Crediton is a market town wonderfully located between Dartmoor, just 7 miles away, Exmoor and Exeter so perfect for exploring the county. A rural area known as Red Devon due to the colour of the soil, the area is mostly agricultural with the produce available to buy in Crediton's Farmers Market. Lots of villages to explore in stunning countryside with many excellent pubs and restaurants to discover. Exeter lies just a half-hour drive away, its cathedral, theatres and shopping waiting to be discovered. Rugged Dartmoor provides excellent walking as does Exmoor but with quite different scenery. From here you will also have a choice of visiting the North and South Devon coast – truly an excellent base for exploring Devon.
