Description

Parisons is located close to the centre of Great Torrington in lovely, unspoilt North Devon. The name Parisons is derived from the name given to glass when it first emerges from the furnace and it just so happens that the house is located close to the world-famous Dartington Crystal Glass factory. This terraced, modern townhouse is set over three floors, and there are great views from the rear of the house and the enclosed garden out over the surrounding countryside. In the garden is a decked area, ideal for some al fresco dining, and a rear entrance leads you to the car parking area.

The house is a short walk from Great Torrington’s town centre and here you will find a good range of local shops and amenities, as well as the pannier market, The Plough Arts Centre and the Torrington Heritage Museum. There is also a local community indoor pool close to the house. There is much to see and do in the area. You can hire a bike and explore the area via the Tarka Trail, which leads all the way to the beach at Instow and beyond. Great Torrington is also home to the delightful RHS gardens at Rosemoor. These stunning gardens have something to offer the visitor all year round.

There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Sandymouth, or enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse and Hartland Quay. Also worth a visit is the historic fishing village of Clovelly. The town of Bideford lies close by, where you will find most amenities and family attractions such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way as well as the quay from where you can book a trip to Lundy Island. The main North Devon town of Barnstaple with its theatre, wide range of shops, amenities and attractions is approximately 12 miles away. Slightly further afield is Dartmoor National Park. There is golf, horse riding and fishing available locally. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
