Set in the quaint village of Kingswear, this property is steps from the local shop, two pubs and a range of restaurants. Take the three-minute ferry ride across to Dartmouth to find an impressive array of independent shops, cafes, galleries and restaurants. Keen walkers will be spoilt for choice with fantastic clifftop trails on the doorstep offering breathtaking views, together with the rugged Dartmoor National Park, also within easy reach.

Enjoy the local events Torbay Air Show, Woofstock dog show in Dartmouth, South Coast Rowing Champs Dartmouth, Dartmouth Food Festival, Candlelit Dartmouth.

Inside, the cottage has been decorated in a quintessentially coastal theme with fresh, clean decor and furniture throughout. The open plan kitchen/dining/living room offers a serene hideaway with its lovely features of whitewashed exposed stone walls and sash windows. In the kitchen area, you will find an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and dining table. After a long day exploring the coastline or the bustling streets of Dartmouth, relax and unwind beside the wood burner in the cosy lounge area where there is also a TV/DVD. Two steps lead up to the beautifully presented ground floor double bedroom, which benefits from an en suite shower room with WC. A queen size double bedroom with river glimpses, twin bedroom and bathroom with shower over bath are all located on the first floor, which is accessed via cottage style stairs.

Steep steps lead up to the beautiful terrace patio with seating, which is well worth the climb to enjoys spectacular panoramic views across Kingswear and the river Dart.

Kingswear

Kingswear is a charming colourful character village that has beautiful views over the River Dart. With its brightly coloured houses dotted on the steep northern bank of the River Dart, it is no wonder that artists from all over the world keep returning to capture the beauty and the architectural charm of this village. Take the ferry from here across to Dartmouth and then look back to take in the breathtaking view of Kingswear. Take the Steam Train from Kingswear to Paignton whilst soaking up the river and country views. There is a special Santa Steam train journey every December. Stop off at Greenway Holt and walk to the Greenway Estate and explore Agatha Christie's former home. Take the only coal-fired paddle steamer built in 1924, from Dartmouth. There are a range of National Trust walks including the Dart Valley Trail which has some of the finest views in this part of the world. For those who enjoy a challenge, then there is a challenging trek from Kingswear to Brixham which is 11 miles each way, there is a bus at Brixham if you don't want to endure to journey back! Kingswear has 2 pubs and a village store, and a cafe. The Steam Packet Inn even offers eat-in or take-away.
