The area is tranquil, with the Tarka Trail (traffic-free) and Bideford with a lovely quayside, restaurants, shops, and pubs, both a short walk away. Public footpaths can be easily accessed allowing you to walk the coastal path to Bideford or Appledore. For beaches close by, Westward Ho! with its golden sands and Instow are within 3 miles, also the fishing village of Appledore is 3 miles. For kids, the Big Sheep and Ultimate Adventure Centre are within 2 miles. Or, take a trip to visit RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Dartington Crystal.

Entering the property through French doors you find yourself in the hall with ample room for boots shoes and coats. To your right is the spacious and contemporary lounge/kitchen/diner, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a hearty breakfast, light lunch, or formal evening meal to enjoy at the table and benches. The breakfast bar with stools is ideal for a quick snack or morning coffee. A comfy corner sofa and chair, plus a large Smart TV beckon you to put your feet up and relax, and French doors open out to the covered seating area. Heading back through the hallway, this leads to the bathroom and the two bedrooms, a super-king-size and a double bedroom with a mini wooden staircase leading to a mezzanine single bed above, this full-size single bed makes it ideal for families of five.

Heading outside, there is a fabulous, covered living space with a bamboo roof, comfy seating, and lighting, making it really atmospheric in the evenings, and a great space to enjoy at any time of year. The lawn area leads out from the patio and offers plenty of room for children to run off steam. There is also a fire pit and charcoal BBQ for you to enjoy.

Westward Ho!

Westward Ho! is a pretty coastal village. The seafront is a very popular spot for surfers and a variety of water sports. There are lifeguards on patrol on the beach in the summer making it feel very safe and secure for families. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness. Dogs are welcomed on the beach all year. During the summer there are signs directing you to which area of the beach are dog friendly. The village is surrounded by cliffs and an estuary. There are lots of nature trails and paths leading to neighbouring towns such as Bideford. For the adventurers, The Ultimate Adventure Centre in Bideford, fun for all the family. The Pebble Ridge Adventure Golf and Go Karts are worth a visit. The village has a few gift shops, a local store and a pharmacy. The village is also home to a few surfing and water sports shops. There are 3 pubs in Westward Ho! The local town of Bideford is 10 minutes by car. Further on is Barnstaple which is 21 minutes away.
