Little Willesleigh is a superb wing to the owners’ home situated in the village of Goodleigh, three miles from Barnstaple. This single-storey cottage sleeps two people and has a zip/link super king-size double bedroom with en-suite shower, an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire and a conservatory with comfy seating. Outside there’s off road parking for one car and an enclosed, side lawned garden with patio and furniture. Little Willesleigh is a wonderful holiday home for a couple.

In a rural setting with a stream running through the owners’ garden and a five minute walk to the friendly village pub, this is an ideal retreat for a couple. All on the ground floor, this cottage is particularly spacious with a living area with two comfy leather sofas and Sky TV, a super king-size en-suite bedroom and a warm, sunny conservatory overlooking the enclosed side garden, which is for the exclusive use of guests. The garden has a lawn, patio, furniture and extensive views across the gardens to the countryside beyond. The local village pub is very popular and offers home-cooked food and local ales. Barnstaple is just three miles away and has plenty of independent boutique shops, proud local food producers selling their delicious delicacies in the Pannier Market and, of course, the town’s colourful history. It’s this mix of new and old, of modern and traditional that’s behind Barnstaple’s charm. Exmoor provides a great escape for walkers and wildlife lovers, whilst the spectacular North Devon beaches are all a short drive from your holiday cottage and provide endless sea, sand and surf for all members of the family. A welcoming cottage near the moorland and coast, perfect for couples and lovers of a quiet life in the country.
Barnstaple is the largest town of North Devon, set on the River Taw, and dating back more than a thousand years. Steeped in history, you can still see parts of the original Norman castle and the 13th-century bridge and discover more in the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon. Today it is an important market town with a huge, enclosed Pannier Market that is open daily except Sundays with everything from fresh local produce to local artists work. So much to see and do in and around Barnstaple. Broomhill Sculpture Garden has 10 acres of wonderful grounds in which to discover over 300 sculptures by over 60 artists. Arlington Court is a Georgian mansion run by the National Trust with almost all rooms open to the public. Visit Saunton Sands with its huge beach or take a trip on the Tarka Line and see beautiful scenery all the way to Exeter on the Great Western Railway.
