Dawlish Warren
Dawlish Warren has been attracting visitors ever since the family beach holiday was invented! Lying on the Exe estuary in South Devon, the one and half-mile long sandy beach have been awarded a Blue Flag award for cleanliness – as of 2019 it will be 21 years in a row. Selected areas of the beach are dog-friendly all year round and during the summer season, RNLI lifeguards keep an eye on safety. The beach is gently shelving so is excellent for paddling and swimming. Visit the National Nature Reserve, enjoy a picnic, enjoy one of the many pubs, cafes and restaurants in the area or just spend a lazy day on the beach. Nearby you can visit Powderham Castle, Orcombe point, the most westerly point of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast or Haldon Forset.
