On the ground floor the sitting room is wonderfully traditional with wood burning stove in a massive inglenook fireplace, ancient beams and window seat with valley views, plus a kitchen area. Step down through a cute little doorway to your dining room. Generations over history have wended their way up the steep winding stairs to the two cosy bedrooms, now with modern family bathroom. Outside, there is a long wooded garden with a shaded seating area which you access across the neighbours driveway, and lovely rural views. To explore further, head down the lane to stepping stones across the River Bovey, a pretty little tree-shaded spot to dream and watch fish and dragonflies. Beyond this are lovely walks in all directions, in the foothills of open Dartmoor. For friendly pubs for eating out, Moretonhampstead and Manaton are just the ticket.
