A short drive or pleasant walk along the lane brings you into Slapton, with its village pubs and shop and a little further on you're on Slapton beach. The nearby South West Coastal Path provides some beautiful walks and a visit to the historic port of Dartmouth, the market town of Kingsbridge and the yacht haven of Salcombe are all great days out.

Slapton is a small picturesque village lying between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. The village is half a mile from Slapton Sands. The village has 2 pubs and a village store. Slapton Ley Nature Reserve attracts visitors from all over the world. Slapton Sands beach was taken over in 1943 to use as a rehearsal area for the D-Day landings. It is a large shingle beach, very dog friendly and backed by a sea wall with lifeguards in the summer and a cafe. Woodlands Family Theme Park in Dartmouth 30 minutes away is a great family day out. Also in Dartmouth is Fast Rabbit Farm Gardens.
