Located one mile from the centre of South Molton, this property is within easy reach of the town’s markets, supermarket, numerous pubs and restaurants. Keen walkers should head to Exmoor National Park, which boasts a plethora of scenic routes, each displaying wonderful flora and fauna. Head to the coast to discover the string of sandy beaches on Devon’s north coast, including Saunton, Croyde, Woolacombe and Westward Ho!, together with a collection of traditional fishing villages and towns such as Clovelly, Lynton, Lynmouth and Porlock.

This single-storey property offers attractive accommodation perfect for two and has been finished to a high standard. On entering the lodge guests will find the spacious open-plan layout with comfortable chairs and a sofa arranged so that guests can enjoy the view from the large windows and along with a Smart TV. Behind the seating area, the kitchen offers everything that guests will need to feel at home with an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The property’s king-size bedroom is located off the living area and has a light-filled and spacious feel thanks to the patio doors which lead to the private outside seating area. The en-suite shower room is contemporarily styled with a bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. Outside, the private patio offers a table and chairs, BBQ, and sun loungers for guests to relax while enjoying the stunning views over the lake. Guests are, of course, free to explore the grounds and enjoy lakeside walks. Ample parking is also provided in a separate parking area just a few minutes’ walk from the property. A handy shed can be used to store boots, outdoor equipment, etc.

South Molton

South Molton is a market town known as the Gateway to Exmoor and is perfectly located for not only exploring the National Park but the North Devon coastline as well with Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe all under 25 miles away. Every Thursday and Sunday the Country Market hosts 70 local businesses selling locally produced foods, plants and flowers, antiques as well as goods by local talented artists all under one roof. The town has a good choice of where to eat out and a free museum detailing the local history. The newly opened Quince Honey Farm is already a must-visit with a typical comment being I never knew bees could be so interesting! The nearby Castle Hill Estate has stunning views with an equally stunning 50 acres of garden, a great cafe and is also dog-friendly so everyone can enjoy the walks.
