This property enjoys a fantastic location in the traditional fishing village of Appledore, where fishing boats bob in the harbour and restaurants and pubs offer delicious local seafood. Just across the estuary, and accessible by ferry, is the neighbouring village of Instow, where there is a family-friendly beach, a pottery studio, an art gallery, and a choice of eateries. Further afield, the huge sandy beach at Westward Ho! is just a five-minute drive from the property, offering two miles of sand and a surf school. Other attractions in the area include the privately-owned village of Clovelly, the harbour town of Bideford, The Milky Way adventure park, and RHS Rosemoor. There really is something for everyone.
This characterful cottage offers charming accommodation which the owners have thoughtfully styled with some chic maritime touches. On entering the property, guests will find the light-filled dual-aspect lounge/diner, with its comfortable seating, electric fire, Smart TV and DVD player. Next to the lounge, the kitchen also has a light and airy feel and offers an oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washer/dryer. Steep, cottage-style stairs take guests to the bedrooms on the first floor, both of which are finished in restful, muted colours, giving them a lovely relaxing feel. The first of these is a double bedroom, with a pretty window seat, rocking chair, large fitted wardrobes, and chest of drawers. The neighbouring twin room has a chest of drawers for storing clothes. The contemporary bathroom has a shower over bath (3/4 size) and WC.
There is roadside parking close to the property, or guests may prefer to use the local pay and display car park in the village.

Appledore is a small fishing village in North Devon. The village celebrates its local artists. The village is full of narrow streets, many of them cobbled. Here you that will find a lot of arts and crafts shops showcasing their work. A variety of pubs and restaurants offer a large range of local seafood. The village is has a privately owned shipyard that employs a lot of the locals. The quay is often occupied by local shipping vessels and yachts. Cruises are available to go up and down the estuary. A ferry takes passengers to the pretty village of Instow which has a sheltered Sandy beach and pier. A short walk away, along the river is Bideford Bay and Westward Ho. The nearest town is Barnstaple 21 minutes away.
