Tucked away within the heart of Salcombe, just a stone’s throw from a range of amenities and attractions, you can find this delightful duplex apartment, King’s View. Set over the first and second floor, this charming accommodation offers a group of eight an excellent base from which to explore the coast of Devon.
After a day of touring the area, look forward to unwinding within the living/dining room; here you can sink into the plush leather sofa or two armchairs as the gas fire warms up your feet, flicking through the Smart TV in search of some good on-demand entertainment. Just behind rests a glass dining table from which mealtime moments can be shared, tucking into a delicious supper or whiling away the hours enjoying board games brought from home. The kitchen comes amply equipped for the chef of the group to rustle up tasty treats, as well as plenty of preparation space to pack up a picnic for a beach adventure, in addition to a dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer, so that you’ll barely have to lift a finger whilst staying here!
Once the sun has set, head to the second floor to find your sleeping quarters, offering 1 king-sized room, a double, a twin and a child’s bunk room, each of which has been well-furnished with plenty of storage space. Start off the morning with a refreshing shower or return in the evening for a soothing bath, provided within the bathroom and shower room located on the first floor.
Step out onto the terrace and enjoy a moment in the sunshine, lighting up the barbecue and rustling up something tasty to be enjoyed at the outdoor furniture.
From here, take a leisurely stroll into the town centre, where you will find numerous tearooms to enjoy your morning coffee and cake, as well as a plethora of quality eateries and pubs for tasty lunches and evening meals when you don't feel like cooking. Salcombe is also home to an excellent selection of shops from high street retailers to independent boutiques where you’re sure to find the perfect gift to bring back home, while the Salcombe Maritime Museum will help you learn of the rich history of this town.
Lounge on the beaches of North Sands and South Sands, both easily accessible from the apartment and offering great days out beneath the sun or catch the Salcombe ferry over to East Portlemouth Beach, before visiting the delights of Small's Cove, Mill Bay and Sunny Cove Beach.

Lying within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Salcombe is a hugely popular resort town close to the mouth of the Kingsbridge Estuary. From your Salcombe holiday cottage there are plenty of sandy beaches nearby including the pet-friendly Salcombe North Sands which is just a short walk from Salcombe town center. The Winking Prawn has a fantastic outside seating area and renowned food and is within yards of the beach. Travel to South Sands Beach from Salcombe's Whitestrand Quay on the South Sands Ferry and find large areas of golden sand perfect for making sand castles and rock pools to explore as well as Bo’s Beach Café which also sells beach accessories. East Portlemouth Beach is another that can be reached by ferry and is a series of coves with golden sands and clear blue water more reminiscent of beaches in the Indian Ocean making a swim almost irresistible. If you are looking for a walk with a difference wait for low tide and make your way up to Mill Bay along the coast for another great beach experience.
Lots of activities in Salcombe, both on and off the water. With the calm estuary there is a great choice of water based activities including sea kayaks, paddle boarding, a surf school, sailing both yacht and dinghy, estuary cruises both leisurely and adrenalin filled, schools for yachting and power boats and even donut rides and coasteering. Off the water relax at the Salcombe Distillery at the tasting bar or create your own gin at the gin school. Try your hands at the Salcombe Shooting School or travel up to Pennywell Farm and see all the animals and cuddle a miniature pig! Soft play can be found at Kidz and Co for those rainy days. The Brownston Gallery is one of Devon's finest art galleries showing contemporary pieces from both established and emerging artists. The walking here is excellent with a 3 mile walk along the South West Coast Path to Bolt Head being among the most popular with stunning coastal views.
