Dawlish
Dawlish is a traditional seaside town on the South Devon Coast with a wonderful golden sandy beach that is perfect for sandcastles. With rockpooling, a children's play area, amusements, boat hire and a pier you will not be short of things to do, find and see. Further beaches to explore can be found close by at Teignmouth and Dawlish Warren, both different in their own way. Dawlish is home to the famous black swans who have lived in the area since the late 1940s and can be seen swimming in The Brook. The town has a good variety of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes so if you wanted to ditch the car for the week you can. The area is great for both walks and cycling with the Dawlish to Exmouth trail offering 20 miles of stunning coastal scenery or join the South West Coast Path for equally stunning walks.
