Holly Bush is set in the rural hamlet of Folly Gate just 5 minutes drive from Okehampton, and perfect for anyone wishing to explore West Devon and Cornwall, and especially for discovering the spectacular Dartmoor National Park, Known as the “gateway to Dartmoor” Okehampton is an old market town with a good selection of shops, including Waitrose, Lidl and Co-op supermarkets. Surrounded by farms and woodlands, and with a traditional old pub, Folly Gate provides easy access to the road network of West Devon and Cornwall, giving plenty of scope to explore further afield.

To the south is Tavistock, a world heritage site, and the “ocean city” of Plymouth, with so much to see including museums, galleries and an exciting waterfront. Going north and west from Folly Gate is historic Launceston, the only walled town in Cornwall, and Bude on Cornwall’s Atlantic coast.

Exeter is 25 miles to the east and served by a rail link from Okehampton (38 minutes). The property is within easy access from the Midlands and the South of England.

Okehampton is centrally located and lies on the northern border of Dartmoor National Park. This market town is perfect for those looking to escape to the outdoors and is known as the walking centre of Devon. Enjoy the area on foot, by horseback or on a bike and discover the beautiful countryside the area has to offer. The Granite Way is a walking and cycle route that is pretty level, can be travelled along in a day (18 miles in length) and you will be rewarded with the Lydford Gorge and its waterfall at the end of the trail. Okehampton Castle is the remains of the largest castle in Devon dating back to Norman times and has a rich history. There are over 40 places to eat out and there is a good selection of shops making this an excellent place to base yourself to explore the area.
