The cottage is ideally located for exploring some of Devon s most popular attractions. Take a tour of Bickleigh Castle, stroll along the towpath beside the Grand Western Canal, enjoy a fun day out at Crealy Adventure Park, discover the wonderful world of bees at Quince Honey Farm and explore the delights of Hartland and Clovelly. The nearby Tarka Trail boasts miles of traffic-free cycling, while Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks offer breathtaking natural scenery and a host of stunning walks. The stunning beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe are within 30 minutes drive where you can get access to a wide range of activities including surfing, bodyboarding, paddle boarding and kite surfing.

Umberleigh

Umberleigh is a small village by the River Taw. The villages of Warkleigh, Chittlehampton, High Bickington and Atherington are all within 10 minutes drive and the town of Barnstaple is 6 miles away. There are plenty of riverside walks to explore and the Tarkka train line runs through here on the way to Barnstaple and Exeter which offers fantastic views along the way. Visit the Cobbaton Combat Collection, a military museum that has 50 vehicles and exhibits from the Boer War to the Gulf War. Umberleigh has access to a lot of great fishing, being so close to the River Taw. The village has a convenience store and a pub. For those involved with the National Trust, Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum, 10 miles away, is one to visit with 20 miles of footpaths to discover. Marwood Hill Gardens, RHS Garden Rosemoor and Castle Hill Gardens are within 10 miles of Umberleigh.
