The breathtaking Lopwell Dam and nature reserve can be found on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and the location is nothing short of idyllic – a haven for wildlife. The Bere Peninsula Cycle Route runs nearby, and the Tamar Discovery Trail begins at Lopwell, offering excellent walking and cycling in a stunning rural landscape.
The cottage shares with the friendly owners two acres of grounds, which were formerly part of Lord Roborough’s 6000-acre estate. You are welcome to explore or simply enjoy the beautiful views from the private patio. Inside, Foxgloves is beautifully finished, and thoroughly well done – a perfect choice for that ‘special occasion’. The lounge is warm and spacious and the kitchen well equipped, though you may be tempted by the delicious lunches served at The Old Pump House cafe on the banks of the Tavy nearby.
