Be greeted by a bright and cheerful living/dining room with plush seating to put your feet up in front of the TV after the day's adventures. Set the table for four, while the group's chef gets acquainted with the spacious, contemporary kitchen just next door; an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a washing machine ensure an easy self-catering stay. Open the French patio doors on warmer days to let the outside in, and why not take a cold beverage onto the outdoor seating. The small hamlet of Bigbury-on-Sea is another perfect location for seaside holidays located in the South Hams area in South Devon. The beach offers everything you could ever desire for the perfect day by the sea including safe swimming with seasonal lifeguards (May to September) and shallow waters. The beach is very spacious and has disabled access. At low tide, you can take a walk over to Burgh Island or if you can't wait take a trip over on the famous sea tractor and discover the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, the links with Agatha Christie and its history of pirates and smugglers. A great area for rockpooling this area is a big hit for kids of all ages.

The facilities are equally good with two car parks, clean toilets and even showers for the surfers and bathers. The Discover Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediates and they also offer windsurfing and kitesurfing. The Venus Café has a variety of food and drinks options including the all-important ice cream and there is even a beach barista. A pub is also available on Burgh Island. Dogs are allowed on one side of the beach and there are dog bowls and water available for them as well.
