The Engine Field is a delightful cottage located in the village of Combe Martin, Exmoor National Park. Hosting one king-size bedroom, and a bathroom, this property can sleep up to two people. Inside you will also find an open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining area. To the outside is off-road parking for one car, and a garden area with furniture, this area is not directly attached to the property and is part of the parking area. Resting in a lovely location with pleasant surroundings, The Engine Field is a wonderful retreat in an excellent part of England.

This tasteful semi-detached cottage rests on a small lane, amongst terraced properties, in the charm-filled village of Combe Martin. Situated on the ground floor of the owners property, Enginefield promises a refreshing break for two, those wishing to explore the hidden gems of this seaside resort and beyond. Inside, there is an open-plan living area with a well-appointed modern kitchen, leading to a comfortable dining and lounge area, perfect for cosy nights in. Joining the living accommodation is a luxurious double bedroom with plenty of storage space. A well-appointed modern bathroom finishes the property in a classic fashion, complete with an overhead shower. An outside seating area is available but is not attached directly to the property, being part of the grassed parking area adjacent to the river Umber. This seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction to locals and visitors alike and is home to a very popular beach as well its own Dinosaur Park. Combe Martin boasts the historic Earl of Rone festival held in May each year and has an annual carnival in August, for the water lovers there is a local kayaking centre with equipment available hire just 15-minute walk away to the beachfront. This is a great choice for touring and discovering the delights of North Devon, with Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, and Saunton Sands. A getaway not to be missed.

Combe Martin exemplifies the best of both worlds lying on the edge of Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty while being on the popular North Devon coast. It is home to Combe Martin Beach, a sandy sheltered beach with some rocks to one side that is perfect for rockpooling that accepts pets between October and April. For a bit more seclusion take a 2km walk (steep in places) to Wild Pear Beach a very pretty cove protected by cliffs with more golden sands to enjoy. A visit to Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur is a must, set in beautiful surroundings with streams and waterfalls with a diverse collection of animals including meerkats, wolves, triceratops and brachiosaurus! No fewer than 10 gardens are within travelling distance as well as a host of National Trust properties you may need to stay an extra week to take everything in.
