The cottage sleeps eight people in four bedrooms over two levels, a double on the lower ground floor with en suite shower and three bedrooms on the first floor, one en suite and one with doors to the garden, plus a family bathroom. Also on the first floor is a sitting room with wood burning stove and French windows to a deck. On the ground floor is a kitchen with dining area. Outside are two raised decks with furniture and great sea views with enclosed lawn below. With fabulous views over the coast, Cobbles Point is a brilliant cottage for families to enjoy a fun and relaxing break in Devon.

Open the stable doors into the kitchen with a dining area and head up five steps into the airy sitting room with its characterful oak floor, cosy wood-burning stove and French windows which you can throw open to a sunny deck. You will find one of the en suite bedrooms down 8 deep steps from the kitchen and the other three comfortable bedrooms on the same level as the sitting room, one en suite with brilliant sea views and another with doors to the garden. The view from outside is exceptional too. Two decks have been raised up at the front to make the most of panoramic views across the Avon estuary and out to sea from your outdoor tables and chairs, perfect for evening drinks and leisurely alfresco dining. Below the decks is the rest of the garden consisting of safely enclosed, sheltered lawns for sunbathing and playing. With the fabulous big sandy beach just minutes from the cottage, this is an ideal location for running on the beach, playing beach cricket, making sandcastles and playing in the surf, perhaps by booking some lessons with the popular surf school which also hires out equipment. The Coast Path is heaven for walkers with fabulous clifftop scenery, or maybe walk across the beach to fascinating Burgh Island and return on the sea tractor. Kingsbridge and Salcombe are interesting towns for shopping and eating. Cobbles Point is an exceptional holiday home for relaxing over coastal views and enjoying seaside fun.

The small hamlet of Bigbury-on-Sea is another perfect location for seaside holidays located in the South Hams area in South Devon. The beach offers everything you could ever desire for the perfect day by the sea including safe swimming with seasonal lifeguards (May to September) and shallow waters. The beach is very spacious and has disabled access. At low tide, you can take a walk over to Burgh Island or if you can't wait take a trip over on the famous sea tractor and discover the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, the links with Agatha Christie and its history of pirates and smugglers. A great area for rockpooling this area is a big hit for kids of all ages.
The facilities are equally good with two car parks, clean toilets and even showers for the surfers and bathers. The Discover Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediates and they also offer windsurfing and kitesurfing. The Venus Café has a variety of food and drinks options including the all-important ice cream and there is even a beach barista. A pub is also available on Burgh Island. Dogs are allowed on one side of the beach and there are dog bowls and water available for them as well.
