Catkins is a delightful detached cottage in a quiet area of Devon. There are four bedrooms, a bathroom, shower room, and cloakroom, and the property is suitable to sleep a maximum of six people. Inside there is a kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room, conservatory, utility, and a children’s playroom. Externally is a lovely hot tub next to a patio with furniture and a barbecue, as well as a private games room. Its situation within the National Park, makes this holiday home a wonderful base for those seeking to walk and adventure the rolling countryside. The kitchen is a fabulously sociable area, featuring a dining area for the whole party, enjoy a spot of afternoon tea whilst sat amongst the lovely views of the garden where the dog can play ball games, or head to the adjoined conservatory, a crisp white room offering the ideal lighting for reading and relaxing under the sun. Head to the sitting room in the evenings and light up the woodburning stove, a simple but stylish room, it’s a wonderful place to gather with your loved ones to enjoy each other’s company or your favourite films on the television. For a day indoors, the property offers ample entertainment opportunities, with a first-floor playroom for the children featuring its own television, a rocking horse, and a doll’s house, it poses as the perfect escape for the kids whilst the adults head outside to the hot tub, placed on a private patio next to a barbecue. South Molton

South Molton is a market town known as the Gateway to Exmoor and is perfectly located for not only exploring the National Park but the North Devon coastline as well with Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe all under 25 miles away. Every Thursday and Sunday the Country Market hosts 70 local businesses selling locally produced foods, plants and flowers, antiques as well as goods by local talented artists all under one roof. The town has a good choice of where to eat out and a free museum detailing the local history. The newly opened Quince Honey Farm is already a must-visit with a typical comment being I never knew bees could be so interesting! The nearby Castle Hill Estate has stunning views with an equally stunning 50 acres of garden, a great cafe and is also dog-friendly so everyone can enjoy the walks.
