The charming seaside town of Seaton nestles along Devon’s Jurassic Coast line, and is the home of year-round outdoor adventure and offers active people an astonishing wealth of opportunities and terrain to explore. The town is a natural playground for water sports fans. Walkers and cyclists have plenty of trails to explore and families will find much for them including a swimming pool, orienteering trail, walks around the Seaton Wetlands, stand up paddle boarding from the beachside and plenty more. Visit the new Jurassic centre or take a ride on Seaton’s famous Tram. Nearby is the picturesque town of Lyme Regis, renowned for its bustling harbour, delightful beaches and range of shops. Or you could visit the picture-postcard village of Beer, renowned for its shingle beach and fresh seafood.

Seaton
Seaton is a seaside and fishing village sandwiched between Axmouth 20 minutes away, and Beer 5 minutes away in opposite directions. Seaton beach is the longest shingle beach in Devon, stretching over a mile long and overlooking Lyme Bay. The beach is gently sloping so is great for all watersports and swimming. Running the length of the beach is the esplanade leading to the town at 1 end and the cafe at the other end. The town has a variety of sops including the Co-op and several pubs, The Malthouse is dog friendly and even offers dog biscuits for good behaviour! Seaton Tramway can be picked up here and takes you alongside the River Axe estuary and through 2 nature reserves. There are many walks to be taken along the coastline to soak in the wonderful views and countryside, For those who like a challenge, there is a Seaton to Lyme Regis walk through the undercliffs, this is uneven ground and often slippery and is not a short walk but the scenery soon makes up for this. A short walk or drive away is the village of Beer. The beach here is a sheltered bay with a pebble beach and there are several cafes and pubs which are dog friendly. Pecorama in Beer is a great day out for the children with indoor and outdoor areas, crazy golf and a miniature model railway to ride on.
