Those keen on water sports will love being able to access the water and explore the Kingsbridge and Salcombe estuary, and when the tides out enjoy walks around the foreshore. There is plenty of space in the kitchen for creating special holiday meals, and the lounge is comfortable for relaxing on a cool evening. West Charleton sits on the main Kingsbridge to Dartmouth road, just five minutes drive to Kingsbridge and thirty minutes to Dartmouth. There are stunning walks through fields and alongside the estuary. West Charleton marsh is popular with nature lovers and bird watchers and within easy reach of Allahoo. The popular town of Salcombe is a short drive, or can be accessed on the foot ferry from East Portlemouth. Where there are pretty sandy beaches. The beach at Torcross is just fifteen minutes away, along with access to the South West Coast Path. The golden sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bantham are just a little further past Kingsbridge so plenty to choose from. Allahoo is a super base for your South Devon holiday

Located in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is one of the most popular areas for visitors as it offers so much. The estuary provides plenty of options to get on the water whether fancy sailing, kayaking or stand up paddleboarding. If you are just looking for a day on the beach then Salcombe, East Portlemouth, Blackpool Sands or the two beaches at Thurlestone will all fit the bill. Walkers have a choice of walking a section of the South West Coast Path or heading inland and enjoying the many trails in the AONB. Plenty of options when wanting to eat out and some excellent towns and villages to explore nearby including Salcombe, Beesands, Dartmouth and Bigbury-on-Sea.
