There are two bedrooms in the third-floor apartment including a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds with an en-suite shower room and a king-size also with an en-suite shower room, sleeping six guests in total. There is also a kitchen and a living/dining room with a private balcony. Outside are communal gardens and a shared outdoor swimming pool, as well as a designated parking space in the car park for one car and mooring. 37 The Salcombe is a beautiful holiday home to base your escape to the coast.
Just a short walk from Salcombe’s boutique, shops and eateries, 37 The Salcombe can be found in an enviable position, on the beautiful waterfront in central Salcombe. With magnificent views of the main anchorage, this charming property is the perfect base for a South Devon coastal break. A third floor apartment sleeping up to six guests, this property is the ultimate family escape. From the hallway step into the living/dining room, with French doors opening out onto the beautiful balcony, it's fantastic for spending time with loved ones in a stunning setting while dining alfresco. Moving past the snug sitting area where you can relax into your evenings on the plush white seating arrangement is the dining area with the well-equipped kitchen adjacent, hosting all the essentials for home cooking when you're not indulging in the fresh local seafood, this kitchen makes cooking a delight. As nights draw to a close you and your loved ones can rest sleepy heads and tired legs in the two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room, with the family bedroom (separate from the main apartment across the coridoor) also boasting an en-suite shower room as well as a king-size bed and bunk bed, it offers flexible sleeping arrangements for a variety of group needs. Take a dip in the communal swimming pool before roaming the beautiful gardens before setting out on your adventure for the day. The local area hosts all you could need for a fantastic family getaway, with a variety of quaint shops and eateries to explore, its own maritime museum where you can learn about the rich history of the area, and stunning seascapes, you're bound to love this charming town. Catch the passenger ferry over to the sandy beaches at East Portlemouth, or venture to North Sands or South Sands, alternatively, explore the South West Coast Path on foot, or simply enjoy Salcombe’s beauty for a relaxing evening with your loved ones. Further afield you can find Bantham, offering even more beautiful beach, or head to Paignton for the day with its picturesque pier, waterpark, zoo and much more to keep all ages entertained. Lying within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Salcombe is a hugely popular resort town close to the mouth of the Kingsbridge Estuary. From your Salcombe holiday cottage there are plenty of sandy beaches nearby including the pet-friendly Salcombe North Sands which is just a short walk from Salcombe town center. The Winking Prawn has a fantastic outside seating area and renowned food and is within yards of the beach. Travel to South Sands Beach from Salcombe's Whitestrand Quay on the South Sands Ferry and find large areas of golden sand perfect for making sand castles and rock pools to explore as well as Bo’s Beach Café which also sells beach accessories. East Portlemouth Beach is another that can be reached by ferry and is a series of coves with golden sands and clear blue water more reminiscent of beaches in the Indian Ocean making a swim almost irresistible. If you are looking for a walk with a difference wait for low tide and make your way up to Mill Bay along the coast for another great beach experience.
Lots of activities in Salcombe, both on and off the water. With the calm estuary there is a great choice of water based activities including sea kayaks, paddle boarding, a surf school, sailing both yacht and dinghy, estuary cruises both leisurely and adrenalin filled, schools for yachting and power boats and even donut rides and coasteering. Off the water relax at the Salcombe Distillery at the tasting bar or create your own gin at the gin school. Try your hands at the Salcombe Shooting School or travel up to Pennywell Farm and see all the animals and cuddle a miniature pig! Soft play can be found at Kidz and Co for those rainy days. The Brownston Gallery is one of Devon's finest art galleries showing contemporary pieces from both established and emerging artists. The walking here is excellent with a 3 mile walk along the South West Coast Path to Bolt Head being among the most popular with stunning coastal views.
