Perfect for couples, friends or a family of four, this accommodation is comfortable and welcoming. From the open-plan living room, enjoy the views of the tide coming and going across golden sand and across to the island. The brand new kitchen boasts smart units and granite surfaces, combined with modern cooking appliances. There is a lovely sitting and dining area leading outside to a balcony, where you can relax and take in the stunning scenery with the coastal air on your face and a refreshing drink in hand. The twin room offers a smart en-suite with a large walk-in shower cubicle. Next, the master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom designed in a contemporary fashion. The onsite facilities are superb, including an indoor heated pool with spa, sauna and gym, as well as a restaurant serving good food. The sandy beach, bordered by shallow waters, allows children to play safely, with rock pools and plenty of sea life entertainment. Try a plethora of water sports from windsurfing and bodyboarding, to kayaking. Or for the less adventurous visit Bigbury's most famous landmark crossing the causeway at low tide to Burgh Island, or if the tide is in, hitch a ride on the 'sea tractor'. Explore the South Devon coastline at your own leisure, not forgetting to spend some time in the pretty towns and villages of Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Bigbury-on-sea

The small hamlet of Bigbury-on-Sea is another perfect location for seaside holidays located in the South Hams area in South Devon. The beach offers everything you could ever desire for the perfect day by the sea including safe swimming with seasonal lifeguards (May to September) and shallow waters. The beach is very spacious and has disabled access. At low tide, you can take a walk over to Burgh Island or if you can't wait take a trip over on the famous sea tractor and discover the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, the links with Agatha Christie and its history of pirates and smugglers. A great area for rockpooling this area is a big hit for kids of all ages.

The facilities are equally good with two car parks, clean toilets and even showers for the surfers and bathers. The Discover Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediates and they also offer windsurfing and kitesurfing. The Venus Café has a variety of food and drinks options including the all-important ice cream and there is even a beach barista. A pub is also available on Burgh Island. Dogs are allowed on one side of the beach and there are dog bowls and water available for them as well.

Plenty of holiday accommodation directly at Bigbury-on-Sea, many with sea views and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach with further great options in the surrounding villages.
