‘Thurlestone Rock’ is a development of spacious marine apartments, situated on the very edge of Thurlestone Sands. Enjoying sweeping views across and over the beach towards Bigbury Bay, it is the perfect bolthole for a luxurious coastal retreat. Each apartment boasts three bedrooms, a private outdoor area, parking for one car and enjoys the use of a shared outdoor swimming pool. 12 Thurlestone Rock is a second-floor apartment that has been tastefully furnished and decorated to a superb standard. Entered via two flights of stairs that lead to the apartment entrance, the property has a fully fitted kitchen, featuring an electric fan double oven, four-ring gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and digital radio. There is a separate utility area housing a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink. The combined lounge and dining room is comfortably spacious, enjoying Sky TV/DVD, sofas, occasional furniture, bean bag, and a dining table that seats six. French doors lead out onto a private balcony (with small table and chairs) that looks across the beach, and towards the iconic Thurlestone Rock and nearby golf course. The master bedroom has a King-sized bed, drawers and dresser, and ensuite shower room. The second bedroom is a twin, with two single beds, and ample clothes storage, whilst the third bedroom has full-sized bunk beds. In addition, there is a family bathroom with bath and separate shower. Outdoor space is ample, with not only a private balcony, but also a large communal patio area with a barbeque facility, lower sun deck, and exclusive use of the outdoor heated swimming pool (between the months of late May to late September).

Thurlestone

Thurlestone is an increasingly popular holiday destination located in the South Hams area of Devon. Just 5 miles from Kingsbridge, the coastal village has one of the most dramatic coastlines along the South Devon Coast with the impressive Thurlestone Rock, an arch-shaped rock just off the main beach which is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Made up of two beaches, both beaches are sandy, sheltered and the waters are shallow enough to allow children to have a safe paddle in. This is the perfect location if you are looking for a beautiful sandy beach, stunning countryside without the crowds that some of the other South Devon beaches attract. The beach is pet-friendly all year round, has won an award from the Marine Conservation Society thanks to its clean waters and has lifeguards between May and September.

Walk along the coast a short way and you will find South Milton which has a beachside cafe and plenty of water sports to try. Many of our Thurlestone holiday cottages are just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and have sea views. We can cater from romantic breaks for two to accommodating large families or groups of friends. This is a special area to visit and relax in.
