The Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty straddles the Devon and Cornwall border and stretches all the way to the west of Dartmoor National Park in places. A wonderful area for walking and cycling, the Tamar Trails is a recently opened trail of 25km with a Centre to learn about the history of the area. The rivers Tamar and Tavy run through it creating beautiful valleys and they run all the way to Plymouth.
