Galmpton Holiday Cottages
Galmpton is a pretty village by the River Dart with the towns of Brixham and Paignton a short drive away. It has a convenience store, a post office and a pub offering traditional home-cooked food and local ales. This peaceful and scenic village is an ideal base for exploring the local area. There are a variety of bridleways to explore on foot or by bike. A popular route is the walk to Greenway House, Agatha Christie’s former holiday home, now owned by the National Trust. Explore this very grand-looking house and vast gardens and then relax in the cafe.
The sandy beaches of Broadsands Beach and Goodrington Sands Beach are not far from here. The beach at Goodrington Sands has a cafe and a section for dogs. Visit Berry Head Nature Reserve in Brixham. This area is a Special Area of Conservation and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Enjoy coastal walks around the stunning headland, spot a wide range of wildlife and relax in the cafe. For a family day out, visit Paignton Zoo. The zoo is set in 80 acres and has playgrounds for the children to run excess energy off in and a cafe.
