One of the countries smallest Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Blackdown Hills is on the Devon/Somerset border and is full of classic English countryside. Less than 15 miles across in each direction, the area is dotted with farms, river valleys and a mosaic of fields with abundant wildlife of plants, birds, insects and mammals.
